Procurement is insufficiently aware of their suppliers.

This is the result of a survey Di-Mens conducted among more than 800 Director/Managers Procurement in the Netherlands. With a score of 5,4 out of 10 to the question: “To what extend does your procurement organisation knows the strategy of the strategic suppliers” there seems to be scope for Procurement to take the next step. The strategy of the supplier can be essential for the success of the cooperation and can have an enormous impact on the business of the own organization. This makes it also a vital link in the strengthening of the “Business Connection Procurement”. Know thy suppliers, nothing is as it seems.
