Job description
You are part of the Category Team responsible for the strategy of your category, along with the Category Manager (corporate) and the Category Buyers from the other subsidiaries. Additionally, you act as a Supplier Account Manager for several larger suppliers that transcend the subsidiaries. You are responsible for the relationships with the suppliers within your category, primarily within the 'Expanding Technologies' subsidiary and in accordance with the corporate purchasing strategy. You seek, evaluate, and engage in discussions with suppliers for goods and services, based on business needs, focused on leveraging efficiency in production, achieving business objectives, and minimizing costs. You set clear objectives to continuously improve QLTCS performance. You work within multidisciplinary teams to achieve the goals, ranging from initial selection and purchasing in the 'phase-in' or projects to reevaluating the existing portfolio
Your daily responsibilities include
- Source new suppliers in agreement with the category strategy: negotiate and maintain new and existing contracts with suppliers;
- Analyse, define and implement methods to continuously improve on quality, logistical performance, technical capabilities, total cost and sustainability (QLTC) and perform and follow-up regular business review meetings;
- Manage and own the relationship with the suppliers to secure supply and ensure they function as integral part of our supply chain;
- Accountable for setting and reviewing purchasing parameters;
- Represent the sourcing team in multidisciplinary project teams;
- Functional leadership and guidance of the operational buyer(s) within the category.
You will be reporting directly to the Manager Procurement “Expanding Technologies” based in Son
Location: Son, Eindhoven region (hybrid)
Requirements
In this job you will play an important role in strengthening the supply chain. To do so, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor working and thinking level, preferably you hold a relevant degree in procurement (e.g. NEVI);
- At least 5 years relevant experience in procurement;
- Good at building relations and strong communication and negotiation skills;
- Strong process understanding of the supply chain, ideally in manufacturing and assembly;
- Ability to turn vision and ambition in clear and concise results;
- Excellent level of verbal and written communicative skills in English.
