You’ll be responsible for successfully delivering sourcing projects, working closely with stakeholders across the global organisation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and successfully lead Strategic Sourcing Projects from inception through to Contract Award and Implementation, working closely with stakeholders
  • Deliver Sourcing Projects to the agreed deadlines and budgets. This will include:-
  • Analysing Supply Markets, including preparing, issuing and evaluating Requests for Information (RFI’s);
  • Preparing current cost baselines working with Stakeholders & Finance;
  • Creating Sourcing Strategies
  • Preparing and issuing Requests for Proposal (RFP’s) and Quotations (RFQ’s) and Pricing Matrices;
  • Working with Stakeholders to respond to Supplier Clarification Questions from bidders;
  • Agreeing Supplier Selection Criteria;
  • Scoring and evaluating responses to RFP’s and RFQ’s working with Stakeholders;
  • Managing and conducting tender presentations;
  • Managing the negotiation process through to contract award;

Profile

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role would suit an experienced category expert with a firm understanding of these categories and sub-categories.
Previous experience within a financial and professional services organisation would be desirable, but not essential.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Essential

  • Considerable previous experience (at least 7-8 years) Sourcing HR, & Professional Services
  • Very strong negotiating skills
  • Experienced in developing Sourcing & Category strategies
  • Excellent numerical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Knowledge of English Commercial Law in relation to procurement
  • Adept at drafting/reviewing/negotiating contracts.
  • Ability to challenge, influence and direct internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work within challenging deadlines and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of the current market trends related to HR & Professional Services.

Desirable

  • Experience managing a global category and working in a global organization
  • Experience working in a similar Professional or Financial Services organisation
  • Experience managing people & teams
  • Experience developing and implementing Category plans.
  • Experience in managing Contracts and Supplier Relationships.
  • Considerable experience working in a similar Global Professional Services or large-scale corporate environment.
  • CIPS professional qualification
  • Degree level (or equivalent) qualification.
